This contract will build upon CNS long history in the Transportation Sector which began broadly in 2002 when CNS started delivering Digital Transformation for Bangladesh Railway before more specifically working in the Roads Domain since 2010 when CNS began the implementation of key software’s at the BRTA. One of CNS's major contributions was the development and implementation of the Motor Vehicle Tax and Fee Collection System, a centralized software solution that integrates various functions to optimize the efficiency, security, and revenue generation of BRTA's operations. It has been rolled out across all 64 districts of Bangladesh.

This system uses RFID technology, automated vehicle identification, and classification systems to enhance toll collection efficiency and minimize revenue losses. It supports various functionalities, including automated lane management, toll charging, and an integrated inline weigh scale management system, all designed to streamline operations and improve the accuracy and reliability of toll collection.
In addition to these revenue systems, CNS developed the Motor Vehicle Registration and Management System for the BRTA, known as the BRTA-IS. This system manages the end- to-end processing of vehicle registration, including tax assessment, token issuance, and route permits, Learning Driving License issuance and more. It is designed to consolidate several administrative components into a centralized national system that enhances the BRTA's database capabilities, making it easier for citizens and government alike to manage and access critical information related to vehicle registration and management. CNS is proud to have been selected in this latest contract to continue the important work on the BRTA-IS system.
